2 car people move to 5 acres and start a homestead from scratch... ✨️a comedy✨️
For years, we've worked in the automotive industry, and the skills, work ethic, and income from those careers have helped fund our goal of building a self-sufficient homestead. We may not know exactly what we're doing yet, but we're learning every day and enjoying the journey.
Our mission is simple: grow quality food, raise happy and healthy animals, and share the results with our community. We believe great food starts with healthy soil, responsible growing practices, and animals that are given the best lives possible.
We're especially passionate about growing exotic hot peppers and heirloom tomatoes, with plans to turn our harvests into fresh salsas, handcrafted hot sauces, and other farm-made products. Our spoiled Silver Lace Wyandotte chickens provide beautiful cream-colored eggs, while our kitchen is often filled with the aroma of fresh banana bread, blueberry muffins, and assorted homemade cookies.
As our homestead grows, we hope to open a farm stand for our local community and offer online ordering so more people can enjoy our produce, eggs, baked goods, and homemade products. We also plan to create a butterfly garden to support pollinators and add even more beauty to the farm.
At the end of the day, we're two automotive enthusiasts trading horsepower for homesteading, building our dream one project, one harvest, and one lesson at a time. There will be successes, mistakes, unexpected challenges, and probably a few stories we'll laugh about for years to come. We're excited to share the journey with you.
